Then it was summer

Well I know it's been a long while since my last post. I've been meaning to post my rides. So this is my summer catch up post.

Uncle Wally and I've gone on roughly 4 weekend rides. My first ride I went solo and ran out of gas in Bancroft. Ran it up north near Van Buren too.

Few others for summer.

Itching

Between all the snow and all the old snow I don't know when the road will be prepared for 2 wheels. The first warm day has yet to happen. I think tomorrow is April 1st.

Uncle Wally says I cursed the weather by buying my bike. I'm beginning to think if I were superstitious, he's right.

Some korean dude from new jersey called me up today. He was concerned about me not having anti virus software. I was like "you don't need to have that." He's like, "you get online you have to have it." I was like "no you don't, I go online and I don't have it."

Then I had some fun with him for about a half an hour. The best part was when I let him remotely use my computer to show me all the 27,000 errors I have. To which I replied, "that's not really that many is it?"

As he was trying to give me the sales pitch I notice he erased by background image. "hey where'd my background go." and then he was like oh it shows my screen, here i'll put yours back. My background image is of a great chopper and I asked him "you like that bike?" to which he replied, "yeah, is it yours?"

There is nothing to do but wait

Well it's the shortest days and long cold ass days and nights part of the year. It doesn't bother me except that I'm up north, which means it's about an ten degrees cooler all the time.

I've been doing battery trickle charging every so often. Looking on eBay, craigslist, chopcult and the jockey journal every so often trying to find the right gen shovel or panhead. It seems like nothing is going on anywhere.

The govt ended the EUC for everyone in the country. They say that's an estimated 400M pulled out of the economy every week. If that's true it's worse than the actual govt shutdown was on it.

Out in Colorado they legalized pot. They sold a million dollars in one day. Crazy money there. So I picked up some weed stocks. Maybe I can make some market money, since that's the seemingly only way to make money, cuz there's no damnd jobs in the country anymore thanks to globalization.

Anyway. Happy New year. Drink some beer.

Love Chuck

Recently one of my childhood friends passed away unexpectedly. We were closest right around 5th and 6th grade. It was so long ago that I can only remember going over to his dad's trailer and playing Where's waldo on the shitty 8 bit NES. We grew apart and found different friends through high school, mostly because we went to different schools. Just a couple years ago though, I was down in Portland and our jobs intersected. He had worked at the tire place I just started work at and one day he came by to pick up some tires (for another company). It was cool to see him again. You'll be very much missed.

RIP Floyd

The waiting game

This time of the year really starts to get to me. Fortunately I have the funds to start a new Harley project. The problem is I can't find the right donor bike. So I'm sitting on time and money.

What I can say is what I'd be looking for. Either a 58 and up panhead or a 66 to 69 shovelhead. Might consider older pans or lower prices knuckleheads.

New jets

Welp... it's the best time of year for some. For me, it's the beginning of winter. However, I've been busy.
I decided my carb needed new jets and not spring for a needle too. So I ended up ordering a 48 and a 45 pilot, as well as a 160. 180 and a 185 main jet.
I had 45/175 going and upped to 48/185. So far seems good at 2.5 turns out on the idle. But it's getting colder.
